2017 SDI Upgrades For Swank Digital Media Players
*These instructions are only meant for existing Swank Motion Pictures DMPs, running version 8.x and higher. The software provided within can only be deployed on Swank configured devices and will not work as a standalone application.
Background
The DeckLink SDI 4K card can be installed in the PCIe slot of any Swank Digital Media Player. After installation, you will need to update the Blackmagic drivers as well as the Swank DMP software.
Most likely you will be installing this card in either a Dell R310 or a Dell R415. For the Dell R310 models, we strongly advise that you install the card in Riser 2, although Riser 1 can be used if necessary. In the Dell R415, Dell R210 and Dell R210 II models, there is only one PCIe slot.
If you choose to install the card into Riser 1 of a Dell R310, take care to avoid the blue plastic clips that sit beneath that card slot.
