Swank Streaming Media and DRM Platform

           

The Swank Media Platform includes the Swank Media Server, our DRM platform, as well as other media components including a content management system, streaming capabilities, and client players for all major devices. You can use this media platform to provide a complete end-to-end solution, or you can take only the pieces of the platform needed to integrate into your own solutions. This system is secure and approved by the major Hollywood studios!

Included in the Swank Media Platform:

• Swank Streaming Media Server—This media platform is an optional component that provides a complete content management solution. It is designed to host and serve secure Hollywood content. The content can be sent out using a progressive download model or even done using Adaptive Bitrate Streaming. The server detects the incoming device and provides web server capabilities which provide device specific pages that present the available licensed content. The server is a complete content management solution and even allows for the uploading of custom content.
• Swank DRM Licensing Server—Our DRM platform allows for secure DRM management and key exchange. The DRM Licensing Server also contains the Swank Rights Management Server which controls the access to files based upon various factors. The DRM Licensing Server can work with a wide variety of studio approved DRMs to quickly allow your system to play Hollywood content. Our licensing server doesn’t require an Internet connection and can be deployed into disconnected environments.
• Client Players — Client Players —In order to build your client applications, you can use the Swank Client Device SDK for iOS or any number of players that support DRM playback on Android or PCs (including ExoPlayer or Shaka). The players support closed captioning, subtitles, and the normal player controls. There is also the ability to change the language audio track of the title while the title is playing. The best part of the Swank Client Device SDKs is that there are no device client activation fees nor a per-transaction charge. You can use the client software and the licensing sever as much as you want for one flat rate.

Our servers can be provided with hardware or as a virtualized image.
