Swank Download Manager: Installation & Setup

Who is this for? The Download Manager is not available for all markets. It is intended for customers exhibiting a single film to a mass audience in a location where high-speed internet may not be available — for example, a summer outdoor screening at a public park. Eligible customers can pre-download their licensed title to a portable Windows PC before the event.

Requirements

• A Windows 11 PC
• Your Tenant ID or Portal URL, shared with you by your Swank Account Representative
• A registered account email and password for your streaming portal
  • Your Account Representative will register your first email account. That address will receive an email to set up your password.
  • To set up additional user accounts, log in to your Streaming Portal and refer to Cloud Streaming – Registered Accounts.

Installation

Step 1 — Download the Swank Download Manager installer

Click the button below to download the latest version of the Swank Download Manager.

Step 2 — Run the installer

⚠ Administrative access required. This application must be installed by a user with administrative privileges on the device. If you do not have administrative access, please share this article with your IT department and ask them to complete the installation.

Open the downloaded file. Confirm “Launch when ready” is checked and click Install.

Step 3 — Accept the Terms and Conditions

Click Terms & Conditions. Read and select the Accept button to agree to the terms and conditions.

Step 4 — Sign in with your account

Sign in using your Tenant ID, email address, and password.

• TenantID - provided by Swank — refer to your welcome email You may also use your Portal URL, which contains your Tenant ID, i.e. 'https://streaming.swankmp.net/myportal' or 'myportal'
• Email & Password - You will receive an email from our account system to setup your password.  Look For:
  From: SwankStreaming<[e-mail]>
  Subject: Activate Account
  If missing email or password, Forgot Password, will help you reset!

⚠ This first login must be done while online. Once you've logged in, you only need periodic online connection to refresh your catalog and offline playback duration.

Downloading a Title

Once signed in, your available titles will appear in the Download Manager.

Step 1 — Select your title

Click the title you would like to download.

Step 2 — Start the download

Click the Start Download button.

Good to know:

• If a download fails or encounters an issue, you can restart it — there is no limit on the number of times a title can be downloaded to a device.
• There is a limit on the number of devices that can be registered to a given portal, which limits how many devices a title can be downloaded to.

Playback

Once the download is complete, navigate to the Downloads tab in the app to play your movie.

Important: Downloaded content can only be played through the Swank Download Manager application.

A download is only valid for playback while "offline" for 3 days at a time.  Simply refresh while online to extend this duration another 3 days.  This does not require re-downloading the movie content, and should take only a few seconds even on a mobile hot-spot connection.
