Downloading Content from Aspera
- Open a browser and navigate to https://cdntransfer.swank.com/
- Use your sign in credentials provided by your sales contact.
- You may be prompted to download the IBM Aspera Connect 3.10.1 or later. Use the link below if not prompted:
- Downloads available for Windows, macOS, and Linux at the link below:
- Follow the download instructions.
- When the download is finished, click on the downloaded file and install. Once finished it will say “Installation Completed!" and you can close the install window.
- Once you have successfully logged into https://cdntransfer.swank.com/, navigate to the desired folder and select the checkbox next to the order number you want to download in that folder. Then click on the download button.

Note: You may be prompted to input your username and password again.
- The first time you attempt to download, you will be prompted for a delivery destination.
- Note that this will be the same location where the files will decrypt. Confirm that you have available space.
- Download will begin.
- Once the download is complete you can follow one of the sections below for either Swank Decryption or Aspera Passphrase decryption.
For Customers Using the Swank Decrypt Application

The files you download can be placed onto an NTFS formatted USB disk or mounted virtually. Be sure to leave all files exactly as they are. Do not edit them, rename them or move the files to different locations. Also be sure that the file destination is large enough to contain all of the movie data. Note that the path to the content files should look similar to this:
Drive Letter > Content > Order#> 1 > 1

F:\Content\1981600\1\1\
For Customers Using a Passphrase for Decryption
- Once download is complete, you will see a link for decryption:
- Click the link and you will then be prompted to enter a Passphrase. (Sent separately)
- Type passphrase and click on “Decrypt” button.
- Decryption of the file will begin. If you download the entire folder at once, you will only be prompted to enter the passphrase once.
- Content is now ready for ingest.
How to Change Download Speed
- Once you have started a download you should see the Transfer Window below: Click on the Transfer Monitor button to the right of the progress bar indicated below.
- This will pull up the Transfer Monitor Window shown below.
- There are two ways to modify your download rate:

- Manually Adjust: Click on the top arrow indicated on the left of the graph and slide it up to increase the speed or down to decrease the speed.

Select a Rate: At the bottom of the window select the drop-down arrow to select various fixed rates.

- Once you have selected the appropriate rate you can close the Transfer Monitor Window.
How to Change Download Location
Note: You should perform these steps before beginning your download.
- Launch the Aspera Connect application from your Start Menu if it is not set to launch on startup.
- Launch Aspera Connect from the System Tray by clicking on the icon shown below:
- Click the menu button from the Activity Window and select Preferences.
- Select the Transfers tab
- Click Browse under Downloads to select the path you would like your downloads to transfer to.
- Select OK to confirm your change and close the Preferences Window

Troubleshooting Download Issues
Below are a few general items you might explore on the machine you are using to download:
- Are the following endpoints, protocols, and ports open on your network
Endpoints (FQDN) Protocol/Ports Primary IP Purpose cdntransfer.swank.com tcp/ssh:33001
udp/fasp:3300112.38.100.87 Content updates to on-site Streaming Server via Aspera FASP protocol.
- You can access log files also from the Activity menu to see if there is any additional information as to why the download is failing.

Is there enough space on the drive you are attempting to download to?
- Your download destination can be reviewed under Preferences
