Pre-installation:
- Reserve static IP address
- Whitelist required network ports (See technical requirements)
- Decide which method of HTTPS/SSL certificate you will use, and take the necessary steps (See "HTTPS/SSL Requirement" section in the Technical Requirements doc above)
- Add any necessary DNS resolutions for URL-->Streaming Server IP
Installation:
- Unpack and install the Swank Streaming Server
- Attach the KVM or keyboard, mouse, and VGA display
- Power the server on and login to Windows Server using these credentials:
- User: *Contact Swank Digital Support for Username
- Password: *Contact Swank Digital Support for Password
- Open Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network Connections
- Right Click on the "Local Area Connection" attached to your network, and select "Properties"
- Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties
NOTE: The IP address information seen here is provided only as an example.
7. Enter your IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS information
8. Apply changes by clicking "OK"
9. To test navigate to the URL or IP address associated with your site from a campus-connected device.
10. Add /diagnostics to the end of your streaming server URL or IP address to view a diagnostics page.
