Cloud Streaming - Download Manager Installation

 Note: This feature is not available for all markets and is usually limited to customers who are exhibiting single films for entertainment purposes to a mass audience.  For example, this type of portal is often created for customers who are hosting summer events at a public park.  In a scenario like that, a high-speed internet connection may not be available at the location hosting the showing.  Those customers have the option to download their movie to a portable Windows PC.

Installation Process

You must be logged in with a local account in order to register your device and download the application. Single Sign On and IP Authentication will not work. If you need assistance creating a local account, please contact an Admin for your streaming portal or reference the instructions found here: Cloud Streaming - Registered Accounts – Swank Motion Pictures, Inc.

1. Navigate to your streaming portal and login using your local user account. If you are automatically authenticated by IP, you can still click the Login button at the top of the screen to login with your user account.

2. Once logged in, find and click on the title you have ordered for download and click the Download button

3. Click the Download Swank Download Manager button

4. Open the file downloaded and leave the "Launch when ready" checked and click the Install button
   • 
5. Read and check the box to agree to the terms and conditions and click the Agree button
   • 
6. At this point you will be presented with a code to register your device.
   • 
7. Copy the code and return to your streaming portal in the browser.
8. Click on the drop down menu next to your display name in the top right and select "Manage Devices"

9. Click the Register Device button
10. Paste the code into the Device Code field and click Register.
    • 
11. Once registered successfully the Swank Download Manager interface will be available. (The app can also be launched directly from your Windows start menu.)

12. Click the title you would like to download,
13. Click the Start Download Button
    • If there is an issue with your download you can start the process over again. We do not limit the number of times a title can be downloaded to a device.
    • We do however limit the number of devices that can be registered to a given portal, which then in turn limits the number of devices a title can be downloaded to.

 

Playback

Once the download is complete, you can play the movie from the Downloads tab. You will only be able to play the downloaded content via the Swank Download Manager app.
