Network Requirements
IP Channel Streaming – Customer Network Configuration
Please provide the following exceptions on your network firewall / proxy to allow your streaming playback devices to reach Swank's IP Channel service. Rules are defined by hostname rather than IP address, since underlying CDN edge servers are dynamic and their IP addresses change without notice.
Required Exceptions
| Hostname | Ports | Purpose |
| ipchannel.swankmp.net | 443/TCP | Playlist / manifest request |
| *.playouts.now.amagi.tv | 443/TCP | Video segment delivery |
Notes
- All connections above are outbound-only, initiated by the playback device to the listed hostnames on port 443. No inbound rule or open port is required on your network.
- Return video traffic rides back on the same connection the device opened; standard stateful firewalls permit this automatically.
- Because the second entry is a wildcard (FQDN) rule, your firewall must support domain-based filtering (most modern firewalls do) and must be able to resolve DNS (port 53, TCP/UDP) for that domain.
- IP-based allow-listing is not recommended in place of the hostname rules above, as the underlying CDN IP addresses are dynamic and may change without notice.
