- Check any cabling between your DMP and the speaker/audio output.
- Make sure that the cables are secured properly at both ends.
- Test with a known working cable to ensure no issues with the cable.
- Close and then re-open the DMP software by clicking the red X in the upper right corner.
- Try rebooting the DMP computer if necessary.
- If the issue persists, try connecting a small TV monitor directly to the output of the DMP.
- If the audio works in this configuration, then there may be an issue with another component in the audio signal path.
Note:
For DMP 8
- Check the audio slider under the Video Settings portion of the DMP software. Make sure the slider is set to its default of "0 dB"
- If Closed Captioning is enabled and you are playing HD content, this could cause audio sync issues.
- If Closed Captioning is not needed, you can disable the CC feature following the instructions at the bottom of this article: DMP 8 Enable/Disable Closed Captions
- If Closed Captioning is required, please discuss upgrading to DMP 9 with your Swank Account Executive.
