About Custom Content
Do you want to play a custom video before a movie begins? Do you want to add content viewers can view in the portal, just like the content you receive from Swank? Just upload your content to YouTube, then designate when and how you want your audience to view it.
Add Custom Content
1. Under the Custom Content menu, click Add Custom Content
2. Enter or paste the URL from YouTube in the URL field.
You may preview your content by clicking the Save button at this point and clicking the Play button in the preview window.
3. Enter a Title name for the custom content so you can easily find it if you need to make changes.
4. If you wish to enter a date for the custom content to begin or end playing, select those dates under Start Date and End Date. Entering dates is optional; it may be helpful when planning ahead and assigning the custom content to play before an event in the future or if you do not want to remember to delete the custom content after the event has occurred. We highly recommend adding dates if you plan to include the content as Stand-alone (see below):

5. Select how you want to use the custom content:
Bumper - Viewed only when assigned to other content in the portal prior to the movie, TV, etc. like a commercial
Stand-alone - Viewed in the portal as customers view the movie, TV show, etc.). This feature is advantageous to customers with a library of licensed content from Swank, not individual shows because the viewers will not see stand-alone content because they are accessing the movie from a Direct Watch link instead of selecting the title from the portal.
6. If you designate the content to play as a bumper, you can check the Assign to all Titles field so it plays before every title in the portal. If you prefer to select the titles, see the instructions: Assign content to titles
7. If you designate the content to play in the portal as stand-alone, you may click Select to upload an image to identify the content in the portal and enter a summary under Synopsis
8. Click Save and your content will appear under Custom Content in the Admin part of the portal until you delete it. The Custom Content tab shows a list of the saved content, dates if entered and assignments:

Assign Custom Content
1. Under the Custom Content tab, assign your video to all of the titles in the portal by turning off the button shown and clicking Save Settings

2. To add custom content before select title(s), search for your video and click the Assignments link under the title. If you do not see the Assignments link under the title, the setting for assigning the content to all titles was selected - edit the content and uncheck the Assign to All Titles field.

3. Check the box next to the title(s) and click Save.
Note: If you have more than one video assigned to a title, the number of videos to play may be managed by the Bumpers to play before each title setting.
4. Click Preview Site and search for your title to see the custom content play automatically.
Edit or Delete Custom Content
To edit the settings of your custom content or delete it from the portal, search for the content and make the appropriate selection under Actions.

Edit Dates for All Custom Content
Use the bulk change functionality if you want to modify the start and end dates for each video you upload.
1. Check the box next to the titles you want to edit.

2. Click Bulk Change - Select Operation and select Bulk Edit .
3. Click the start or end date field and enter the appropriate date.
4. Click Save.
5. Check the Custom Content tab to see your date changes.
1. Check the box next to the titles you want to delete.

2. Click Bulk Change - Select Operation and select Bulk Delete.
3. Check Yes to confirm the deletion.
Custom Content Issues
Video Unavailable
Issue: The YouTube video shows a message stating "Video unavailable Playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner".
Resolution: This is due to the Allow embedding setting under the Video details > License section on the YouTube video being disabled. Enable embedding to allow the content to be viewed from your Swank streaming portal.
Video is Private
Issue: The YouTube video shows a message stating "This video is private".
Resolution: Set the YouTube video's Visibility to Public or Unlisted.
