This document provides instructions to load content via hard drive onto a Swank Streaming Server.
- Attach Swank provided portable USB drive to an available USB port on the Streaming Server. If you have a Virtual Streaming Solution, you will need to map a USB port to the VM.
- Once attached, the ingest will begin automatically. *It can take up to 10 minutes to start the ingest process.
- To monitor the ingest, please navigate to the content library URL, and click "Login" in the upper right corner.
- Enter your administrative credentials in the fields and click Login.
- Once logged in select "Content Transfer in the lefthand menu and expand the ingest at the top of the list. This will show you the drive ingest progress.
- If the process does not start after 10 minutes of attaching the drive, you may select the "Server Logs" option in the lefthand menu. Locate the "driveconsumer.log" and select. Scan the message pane and to observe if content is processing.
- If you only see a few lines in the message pane, look for any "error". If present, please contact Swank Digital Support with the order number you are having an issue with and the service tag number of the streaming server. The order number will be printed on the barcode label attached to the USB hard drive.
