Cloud Streaming - Instructor Self Registration

Teachers and professors may self-register for an Instructor account in the streaming platform which provides the ability to search for titles, copy Direct Links to share with students and in some portals, give teachers the opportunity to request new titles to be licensed.

Note: Allowed Email Domains will need to be added by Swank. Registered customer accounts will not have this capability.

Student/Instructor Prompt

Certain markets have a prompt when a user first navigates to the streaming portal to choose between:

• Student - This will allow students to continue to the content catalog
• Instructor - This will direct instructors to the self-registration process.
• I already have an account. - This will direct the user to the login page

Getting Started

You will need the following in order to set up an Instructor account:

• The URL to the streaming portal provided by the Swank Administrator at your school
• Depending on your organization an instructor registration code provided by the Swank Administrator at your organization may be required.
  • If you are an Administrator, please be aware the code has an expiration date and will occasionally need to be renewed. This can be found on the bottom of the Authentication page when logged in as an admin.
• An email address with the domain (.edu, .com, etc.) specified by your organization.
• Access to your email to verify the account

Create an Instructor Account

1. Copy and paste the URL provided by your Swank Administrator into a supported browser
2. Click the Create Instructor Account button

3. Enter and confirm your email address. Enter the code if your organization requires a Self Registration Code, (This should be provided by your Swank Administrator.) Select the Next button.

4. Complete the registration form and click on the Accept Terms and Conditions button.

5. Click Accept if you agree with the Terms and Conditions. Contact your Swank Administrator if you have any questions.

6. You should be presented with a Successfully Registered page at this point. Keep this page open until you receive your verification email.

   • 

7. In your email, look for a message from [e-mail] and click on the link to verify your account. If you do not receive an email within 5 minutes, you may need to click the Resend Email button from the previous step.

8. Once you click on the link your account will be verified and ready for use.
