Creating a Bookmark
To create a bookmark, log into your portal and select the film you want to use. Make sure the film is currently available to watch. If it is not available, you will need to submit a request for that title. Once the title is available, click on it to open the title card at the bottom of the screen. Then select "Bookmarks" followed by "Create Bookmark."
On the bookmark screen, you can choose the start and pause times for the film. Keep in mind that viewers will still have access to the full film. The bookmark simply marks where the film begins and pauses. You can also add a description that is visible to viewers. Many teachers use this field to note the lesson or date the film will be shown. When you are finished, click "Save." You can then copy and share the link with your students.
Managing Bookmarks
To view or edit your existing bookmarks, log into your portal and click the "My Bookmarks" tab on the left side of the screen. You will see a list of all your saved bookmarks and can update them as needed.
Note: Bookmarks are stored and associated with the user accounts that creates them. Switching browsers or computers will not cause a bookmark to disappear. If the license for a particular movie should expire, the bookmarks that a teacher may have made for that movie simply go invisible - they are not deleted. Those invisible bookmarks are then restored if the license for the movie should be renewed. If the user account is removed and then recreated, the Bookmarks previously associated with that account will be lost.
