DMP - R310 PowerEdge Diagnostics

To run diagnostics on a Dell R310 rack mount server, use the built-in UEFI ePSA Diagnostics via the F11 menu or the Lifecycle Controller (F10) at startup. These embedded tools allow for testing memory, hard drives, and CPUs, offering a physical, non-OS-dependent view of system health. 
 
Methods for Running Diagnostics (PowerEdge R310):  

• System Services/Lifecycle Controller (Recommended):
  1. Restart the server and press F10 during POST to enter the Lifecycle Controller.
  2. Select Hardware Diagnostics from the left pane.
  3. Click Run Hardware Diagnostics in the right pane.
• Boot Menu Diagnostics (ePSA):
  1. Restart the server and press F11 repeatedly at the BIOS logo screen.
  2. Select System Utilities or Diagnostics from the menu.
  3. The ePSA Preboot System Assessment window will appear, listing detected components.
• Memory Diagnostics (MPmemory):
  • Within the diagnostic menus (usually via F10), you can select MPmemory to conduct more extensive tests on the RAM, choosing either "Express" or "Custom" modes.
