DMP - R340 System ID LED is Flashing Orange

Issue: The System ID LED located on the far left of the server chassis is flashing orange.

Cause: There is a system fault present. There are a number of causes for a system fault to be showing.

LED State	Meaning
Solid blue	Server is on and healthy
Blinking blue	System ID mode active (identify this server)
Solid amber	System in fail-safe mode
Blinking amber	System fault present (check System Event Log)

Resolution: 

1. Confirm power - many times this is an indication the power has been lost from one of the power supplies.
   • Attempt to reseat the powersupply.
   • Make sure the power cable is firmly connected.
2. Check System Event Log During Boot 
   1. Reboot the server.
   2. During POST, press F2 to enter System Setup.
   3. Go to:
      System BIOS → System Event Log
   4. Review logged hardware events.
   5. Note any amber/fault entries.
   6. Contact Swank Digital Support with your findings if further assistance is needed to resolve the fault.
