This error generally arises when attempting to reset the password for a Single Sign-On (SSO) account. It is important to understand that registered accounts and SSO accounts are fundamentally different types of accounts. Password changes can only be made for registered accounts, which are accounts where both the username and password are maintained within the portal.
SSO accounts are authenticated through an external Identity Provider (such as Google, Microsoft, ClassLink, etc.). For SSO accounts, the username and password are stored and managed by the Identity Provider. To change the password for your SSO account, you must do so through the Identity Provider directly. The Digital Campus portal does not provide any functionality to manage or change passwords for SSO accounts.
